What is CBD?

You've probably heard of "CBD" or "CBD oil" recently. It's becoming more popular as cannabis becomes more widely accepted as a medicine. While the last few decades have tried to remind us that cannabis is dangerous and shouldn't be used at all, science is proving otherwise. Here are a few things to know about CBD:
  • Cannabidiol, known as CBD, is one of 60+ scientifically discovered components of the Cannabis Sativa (marijuana) plant.

  • These components called cannabinoids react with receptors in our own body called the endocannabinoid system, kind of like puzzle pieces fitting together. These cannabinoids help to create balance within our bodily systems.

  • CBD has received a lot of attention over the past few years due to the number of people, including children, who have found healing and relief from a variety of ailments. Issues like pain, anxiety, and seizure disorders are being treated with products like CBD oils, tinctures, and CBD-rich medical cannabis.

  • Unfortunately, there have been a lot of products to come out supposedly containing CBD. Come to find out, these products have contained little to no CBD, instead laden with heavy metals, chemicals, and other contaminants, marketed towards unsuspecting people looking for relief. Some things to look for in your CBD products are:

    • Where and how the hemp was grown

It will most likely be grown in Europe or a state allowed to grow hemp and hopefully grown organically without pesticides

    • How the CBD is extracted from the plant

The purest way of extracting CBD from the plant is through CO2 extraction

    • What the actual amount of CBD is in each dose

We have products anywhere from 3mg to 190mg per dose  A lot of labels are misleading in the fact that they only specify how much CBD is in the entire bottle, not per dose.

    • Has the CBD oil been tested for contaminants by an independent lab

This testing is to ensure the amounts of CBD in the product, other cannabinoids, and to detect any other compounds like heavy metals, etc.
    • While we cannot legally make any medical claims to the nature of the products found on this site, scientific findings have concluded that CBD does, in fact, have many health benefits.
